Blog Post Number 5

I love the computer. I usually play on it before school, after school for a while, do my homwork, and then play on it for a while again. I get off when my family wants it or when my mom or dad tells me to get off it though. But if i sneak back on it and they catch me they usually don't let me play on it for the following day or sometimes more. But i would never be addicted to it so much that i would run away if they took it away from me. I could probably live without it.
I also love to listen to music on my i-pod. Sometimes i listen to it when my family is having a conversation in the car and my dad or mom usually tells me to turn it off and join them. I obey them but i don't really don't know what to add into the conversation sometimes.

Take Your Kids To Work Experience

I went to Berks Machine Tools. My dads side of the family works there with some other employees. Farrell came with me since she had no where else to go. My dad gave Farrell and I a tour of the business and introduced us to some people and told us about the tools they work with. After that my mom told us what she did as a secretary and let us invoice, take out garbage, sort out mail, and some other things. We also dipped some tools in wax, wrapped them up, put them in boxes, and then taped the boxes so that they were ready to be picked up/shipped. Farrell and I liked dipping the tools, and shredding paper the most. I could see myself working as a secratary because i am good at organizing things and answering the phone. But i couldn't see myself working with tools since its not very interesting to me. I'm not sure about my future jobs but i like to sketch and make things look pretty...so i guess i could be a designer of some sort. I did learn a lot of new things when i was at my dads work since i got a tour. I have been there a LOT of other times but never really got told a lot about tools and what you can do with them. Some parts were pretty interesting. The employee's at my dads work concentrate very hard on the machines they work on since the tools have to be cut at certain degrees and angles. Some of the things my dad talked about related to chemistry since they need certain chemicals to coat the tools gold or darker silver. Overall i had a very good time there with Farrell...but we got fired at the end since we distracted my moms work to much xD!
